Kasia Szybka is a Polish artist and architect based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
She creates architectural drawings that combine research, storytelling and artistic interpretation. Her work explores how buildings reflect the history, memory and identity of the places they belong to.
Every project begins with research, archive material and time spent on site. Rather than drawing architecture as an isolated object, she is interested in the stories buildings carry and the people who have lived, worked and passed through them.
With a particular interest in twentieth-century modernism, her work brings together drawing, writing and historical research to create visual essays about architecture and the cities we live in.
Alongside commissioned work, she develops independent long-term projects focused on documenting modern architecture across Europe.
